There are a number of instances where this problem may occur. For example, if you click on a hyperlink in an email message or a web page, or you right click a link on a web page and select 'Open in New Window' from the context menu. Several things can happen: |

The new window may be blank. |

You receive a scripting error message. |
|
| |
Nothing at all happens. |

First of all - Reboot everything! If that doesn't work then continue..... |
|
| |
|
|
|
One or more system files could be missing, damaged, or improperly registered.
To fix this close all programs, click Start / run and type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, click OK and wait for the 'succeeded' message.
Repeat the above for each of the following:
regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 Msjava.dll
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 Mshtml.dll
regsvr32 Browseui.dll
regsvr32 Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

Use the Registry Editor to verify that the following registry values are present and correct: |

If all of the above names are present, but one or more has an incorrect value, then right click the name and select Modify from the Context Menu, then correct the value. If any are missing, then you can right click in the right pane, select New from the Context Menu, then String Value from the menu scrolling out from that, and then enter the correct value. |

If your Operating System supports it then try a 'System Restore'. Win ME and Win XP have this as standard. |
|

|
Reinstall Internet Explorer. If you are using the version of Internet Explorer that is included with your operating system, reinstall or repair your operating system.
|

Try installing and using a different browser that does not use any IE files or caches such as  |
